One of my favorite HWMPs is The Curvy Vet. I wanted to go back to Wyoming but I didn’t want to do it until I had a good idea that would fit in a country setting. So I did Curvy Voice Coach and Jewel Thief in the meantime. And then finally, I was out in the country (in Britain – not Wyoming, sadly) looking up at the stars, and I thought, “You know what this night needs? A cowboy. A cowboy to put his arms around me under the stars.”
And so The Curvy Astronomer was born. It’s set in (or at least it starts in) the same town – which now has a name, Mustang Falls. But Emily is quite a different character to Amanda. While Amanda liked to stay in the safety of her lab, Emily’s been out cruising the highways of America for a couple of years. She’s fiercely independent and she’s convinced she doesn’t need any help from anyone–she certainly doesn’t think she needs saving. But she does. When she butts up against Troy, a cowboy who’s all about tradition and making a nice, warm nest of a home, expect fireworks.

Then Amazon started having problems with their publishing process, with some books getting snarled up in the system for up to 10 days. Now, finally, it’s live. I can’t believe it’s been nearly three months since the last He Wanted Me Pregnant! (“Voice Coach”).
This one’s the story of Gemma, a shy and nervous cat burglar who’s only really at home when she’s dangling upside down from a rope. She doesn’t do people…certainly not men. Luckily, her all-girl team has Lauren, the curvy grifter, to charm men into parting with their valuables.
But when a job goes wrong, Gemma has to step from the shadows and not just meet a man but talk to him, sing for him…maybe even seduce him. And what a man: Marshall is gorgeous and he’s big. Once these two get together, all bets are off. He might just be exactly what the antsy, twitchy Gemma needs…but if she’s to get the job done, she’s going to need to betray him. I was very flattered when Mimi Strong asked me if I’d like to be part of a romantic comedy anthology called LOL (Love Out Loud!). When I heard that one of my favorite authors, Julia Kent was also involved, I practically bit Mimi’s arm off (sorry, Mimi).
I wrote a brand new story for the anthology. It’s a romantic comedy in my usual style, so I think both fans of He Wanted Me Pregnant and Shipwrecked will enjoy it. It’s all about Alice, a curvy, fiercely alternative Wall Street protester who handcuffs herself to a “suit” – gorgeous stockbroker Mason – as part of her effort to shut down the stock exchange. When the two are forced to spend the day together, at first there’s nothing but friction…but friction can quickly turn into heat and, when these two get going….

A little while ago, I asked you guys if you’d consider reading a romance from me that wasn’t a He Wanted Me Pregnant. The response was an overwhelming “yes,” which gave me the confidence to write this. It’s by far the longest story I’ve written at 47,000 words. If you like HWMP I think you’ll like this too, but for all of you who were asking me to do something longer: here it is! 🙂
